Our founders

Olajide Abiola Olajide Abiola is a distinguished military veteran and visionary entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to multiple sectors of the Nigerian economy. With over 15 years of experience, he leads a multi-billion naira group of firms as CEO, demonstrating exceptional business acumen and leadership skills.

He currently oversees Gidanka and HomeAway brands, which are known for their premium residential apartments and hospitality services, as well as Jendo, a producer of premium groundnut oil and other raw materials for industries. He is also a co-founder of a leading financial technology company, which achieved a transaction volume of ₦13 billion in under eight years. His expertise spans technology, finance, production, sales, retail, project management, and business administration, making him a key figure in shaping Nigeria’s business landscape.

Mr. Abiola’s academic and professional journey is equally impressive. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin and is a certified IT professional by Microsoft. His education includes military training and further studies in project management, negotiation, marketing, budgeting, and costing from institutions such as the University of California, Irvine, and the University of Michigan. A fellow of the Institute of Strategic Management, he has also served as an expert resource person for the 7th Senate of Nigeria in several key committees. His ventures in hospitality, fintech, and manufacturing, along with his upcoming projects in retail, underscore his role as a dynamic business leader committed to economic growth and innovation in Nigeria and beyond.

 

Olajide Abiola

Ahmad Sadiq is an engineer and founder of several businesses including microscale embedded ltd, a leader in embedded systems and hardware. He has worked in the global tech sector for both American and British based companies in addition to a long stay in China, where he attended the prestigious Beihang University. 

He is a handson engineer with expertise in hardware (embeded systems), software and cloud. He has won a couple of awards including best e-government startup award from NITDA at eNigeria in 2016.
